SEAJ Special Issue Call for Papers

Along with colleagues Vicky Lambert and Lee Roberts (University of Dundee), Julie Bertz (Dublin City University) and Maresa Reill (Durham University) I am editing a special issue of Social and Environmental Accountability Journal titled ‘The Potential of Accounting and Accountability in Advancing Sustainable Cities and Communities’. The focus of the special issue is on understanding how accounting and accountability can mobilise local capacities to support a just and transformative transition towards the achievement of SDG 11, particularly one that centres community voices.

Whilst we invite researchers to submit research papers, essays and commentaries we are particularly interested in the submission of innovative research outputs including contributions from researchers outside the field of accounting.

Deadline for submission is 31 December 2026.
